Thinking of deleting some old comics

Journal Entry: Thu Dec 27, 2012, 6:56 PM
EDIT: Ok so I didn't delete any of my comics. I didn't move any of them to storage or scrap them either cause shit I'm too lazy.

I ended up organizing my comics by making sub folders of the year of comic creation and putting them in those folders. Well that was the opposite of what I was planning

So yeah the comics are still existing but I think some of them are still missing??? But they should be existing in my gallery. Somewhere.

So yeah. Thinking of deleting some old comics. Cause
1. my old art hurts my eyes
2. they're pretty damn stupid and embarrassing and
3. it's very clear that most people only care about my comics and that's it.

Honestly I rather have watchers who watch me cause they like my art instead of just liking the fanart and fan comics I draw for various series. I like drawing fan art and stuff, but still, I don't want want my worth as an artist to be measured only through the stupid fandom shit I draw. You know what I mean? I appreciate all the comments and faves I get, but it does kind of depress me when artworks I spend so much time and effort on get very little attention compared to the stupid comics I drew.

But mostly, the old comics I drew are really stupid. Goddamn past me was an idiot. It's embarrassing. I'd like to purge the internet of my childish idiocy of the past.

So I am contemplating deleting the old, ugly comments. If not that, then at the very least move them to storage (if I can figure out how to do that) or scrapbook.

But anyway, happy holidays and a happy new year, everyone.

I watched you thanks to your fan-art.
I and I think a whole lot of your watchers love your comics just as much as your art. :meow:

I'm glad you didn't delete them, even if some people only care about them, there are others that just tend to really enjoy them and find you through your comics. Your comics still make me laugh out loud, but I can understand where you're coming from. I did the same thing with cleaning some of my older art even if others liked it, I hated it. So delete them if you want, the feeling of burden with your own art is not a feeling that can be easily forgotten. Well at least that is the case for me.

I love your fanart, but I also like your drawing style too! I enjoy introducing my friends to your brilliant and simple comics.

I love all of your art! You are VERY talented! :D Personally, I'd be a little disappointed if you deleted your comics. Though you say they're a little ridiculous, that's what makes them so awesome! But, it is your decision so do what you feel you need to do as an artist. Either way, I'll still look forward to seeing new works of art from you, they're beautiful!

I understand where you're coming from, I really do.
I used to do purges all the time, especially when I had old stuff getting more attention than my new stuff.
But if you're anything like me one day you're gonna turn around and you're going to want nothing more than to read/laugh/appreciate those old artworks and how they made people feel. But you won't get to because they're gone.
I can't tell you how many times I've kicked myself for the purges I used to do, because not only did it reflect my past style and such, it also reflects growth too (and a chance for a good laugh, lemme tell ya).
Plus, it sort've sucks, but the old art is what reels people in and the new art makes them stay.
So if you get rid of your old stuff, you might not have enough people finding your old stuff that will stay for your new stuff.

It's unfortunate, I know how it feels, but watchers who are awesome will come for the old and the new, the good and the bad.

Of course it is up to you, but as I have suffered the consequences of such a decision I felt I should inform you of the possibilities.
Personally I love all your stuff (escpecially the new stuff because of all the SKILLZ up in there).

Either way, keep on rocking (and I am still working on your Christmas picture).
